21-Year-Old Mayport Woman Suffers Minor Injuries in Route 536 Crash

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225PERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say a Mayport woman suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash that occurred around 7:20 a.m. on August 30, on State Route 536, in Perry Township, Jefferson County.

The crash occurred as Nickita M. Martz, 21, was traveling west on SR 536 in 2011 Chevrolet Cruze, police say.

According to police, Martz lost control of the vehicle, entered into the eastern lane of travel, and exited the southern portion of the roadway.

Martz continued to travel west, partially on an embankment, over top a concrete pipe, until she struck a gas meter.

Police say upon impact with the gas meter, Martz’s vehicle spun clockwise striking a fence and came to a final rest facing east.

She was wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries.

She was charged with a traffic violation.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by T & D Towing.

Jefferson County EMS and Perry Township Fire Department assisted at the scene.
