23-year-old Woman Injured in Henderson Twp. Crash

HENDERSON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – State Police in Punxsutawney responded to a three-vehicle accident in Henderson Township, Jefferson County, yesterday morning.

State Police in Punxsutawney say the crash occurred around 8:15 a.m. on SR-119 near Weld Road.

Police say Amanda R. Shick, 34, of Rossiter, began to slow her vehicle for a line of stopped traffic.

According to police, Schick failed to slow her vehicle in time and struck the rear of a stopped vehicle operated by Maryhelen Dobbs, 23, of Indiana.

Dobbs’ vehicle subsequently struck the rear of another stopped vehicle operated by Michael Oliver, 43, of DuBois.

Ms. Dobbs was subsequently transported by Jefferson County EMS to Dubois Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.

State Police were assisted by Jefferson County EMS, South Side Towing, and Sykesville VFD.
