33-Year-Old Man Arrested for Retail Theft in Punxsutawney

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – On Saturday Punxsutawney Borough Police Department were dispatched to the Dollar General on Hampton Avenue for a report of a retail theft.

Police say it was reported that a male left the store without paying for items.

Police reviewed in-store surveillance cameras and observed the man, identified as 33-year-old Rickey Roupe, of Warren, OH, allegedly placing two items under his clothing and leaving the store without paying for the items, according to police.

The items were offered for sale at the store for $4.24, police say.

Roupe was subsequently located by police on Saturday, May 2, at a residence in the east end of Punxsutawney and was cited for Retail Theft, according to police.
