Driver Escapes Injury in One Vehicle Crash

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225NEWBURG BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say around 8:04 p.m. on September 29, a one-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 3016, near the intersection with Thompson Town Road, in Newburg Borough, Clearfield County.

According to police, Joseph McDonald, 52, of West Palm Beach, Florida, was traveling south on La Jose Road when he lost control of his 2004 Ford Focus while negotiating a curve.

McDonald’s vehicle exited the east berm of the roadway and struck two traffic signs and continued traveling south over Thompson Town Road, then struck a telephone box, coming to rest facing south on the roadway.

McDonald required no medial attention at the scene. He was wearing a seat belt.

McDonald’s vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene by Smitty’s Towing.
