69-Year-Old Man Faces Felony Charges in Winslow Twp. Pet Cemetery Fraud Case

state_policeWINSLOW TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police say charges have been filed against a suspect for allegedly carrying out deceptive business practices in Winslow Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, 69-year-old Edmund Grenier, Jr., of Clearfield, is facing multiple charges stemming from incidents of alleged deceptive business practices that occurred at the Northern Tier Pet Cemetery/Lakelawn Memorial Park between December 18, 2013, and January 5, 2015.

Grenier has been charged with the following:

– Two counts of Deceptive or Fraudulent Business Practices, Felony 2
– Two counts of Theft by Deception, Felony 3
– Two counts of Theft by Failure to Make Required Disposition of Funds, Felony 3

The victims in the case are a 77-year-old woman and an 82-year-old woman.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on April 9 in front of Magisterial District Judge David B. Inzana.
