74-Year-Old Man Accused of Threatening to ‘Blow Up’ Jefferson County Commissioners Office

BROOKVILLE BOROUGH, Pa. (ETY) – Police say charges are pending against a 74-year-old man who allegedly threatened to “blow up” the Jefferson County Commissioners’ Office earlier this week.

According to Brookville Borough Police, a known 74-year-old Punxsutawney man entered the second floor of the Jefferson County Commissioners’ Office on Wednesday, February 10, and asked to speak to a county employee.

Police say when the man learned the employee was not at work at that time, he became irate, and then threatened to “blow up” the building.

According to police, terroristic threats charges are pending through District Court 54-3-03.

The name of the defendant was not released.
