75-Year-Old Reynoldsville Woman Killed in One-Car Crash in Young Township

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225YOUNG TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – A 75-year-old Reynoldsville woman was killed yesterday afternoon in a crash on Harmony Road, in Young Township, Jefferson County.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, around 4:55 p.m. on December 23, Regina M. Cable, of Reynoldsville, was traveling on Harmony Road, when for unknown reasons, her 2009 Nissan Altima was witnessed traveling off the right shoulder of State Route 310 and immediately impacting an embankment.

Police say the car continued at a right angle off the roadway before colliding with a road sign. The car continued to travel off the roadway crossing Whitfield Lane and then collided with a second embankment and another road sign post.

The car continued forward for another 56 feet before colliding with a tree. It came to a final rest facing in a southwest direction just off the west shoulder of SR 310.

Ms. Cable was pronounced dead at the scene by Jefferson County Coroner Bernard Snyder.

The investigation continues.
