Active Shooter Drill at Jefferson County Courthouse Moved to October 2

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – The active shooter drill scheduled for Thursday, September 28, at the Jefferson County Courthouse has been rescheduled for Monday, October 2.

The Jefferson County Department of Emergency Services will conduct the internal active shooter drill at the courthouse around 4:30 p.m.

According to Tracy Zents, DES Director, the exercise will consist of law enforcement activity inside of the courthouse.

“This will occur after normal business hours for the county. We wanted to make sure the public is aware that if they hear any type of activity at the courthouse that it is only an exercise,” Zents said.

There will be no involvement with Fire or EMS, and there will be no street closures.
