Adeline Kessler

Adeline “Ade” Kessler, 83, of 24 Chestnut Street, passed away Saturday (August 23, 2014) at her residence.

Born November 27, 1930, in Punxutawney, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Manfredo. On August 6, 1954, in Punxutawney, she married Joseph Kessler who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Kessler was a registered nurse at the Kane Community Hospital. She was a member of St. Callistus Church and a member of the CD of A Court Callistus #66.

Surviving are two daughters, Patricia (Christopher) Elnicki of Lancaster and Linda (Ralph) Cecchetti of Kane; a son, Joseph A. (Jordis) Kessler II of Florida; a daughter-in-law, Judy Kessler of Kane; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death, in addition to her husband and parents, by a son, Christopher A. Kessler; four sisters and a brother.

Friends will be received at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. in Kane on Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Callistus Church with the Rev. Vincent Cieslewicz, pastor of St. Joseph’s in Mt. Jewett and St. Elizabeth’s in Smethport, officiating. Burial will be at St. Callistus Cemetery.
