The National Weather Service of Pittsburgh issued the following Urgent Winter Weather Message at 3:58 a.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2016:

…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST WEDNESDAY…

* SNOW ACCUMULATION…3 TO 6 INCHES.

* PERIOD OF MOST SNOW…FROM MID MORNING THROUGH THIS EVENING.

* SNOW ENDING…EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING.

* TEMPERATURES…WILL FALL INTO THE TEENS LATE AFTERNOON WITH LOWS 5 TO 10 TONIGHT. WIND CHILL VALUES WILL BE BETWEEN ZERO AND MINUS 5 WEDNESDAY MORNING.

* IMPACTS…HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED DUE TO SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW WITH WIND GUSTS OF 30 TO 40 MPH.
