Alfred L. Solinski

Alfred L. Solinski, Jr. 59, of Indiana, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015, at his residence.

He fought a long and courageous battle, never giving up hope.

A son of Alfred L. Solinski, Sr. and the late Frances Byers Solinski, he was born Dec. 31, 1955, in Indiana.

Mr. Solinski was a graduate of Indiana High School and earned an associate degree from Vale Tech in Blairsville.

He had been a miner for R&P Coal and was also owner/operator of Solinski Auto Repair.

Mr. Solinski was a member of the UMWA Local 600.

He was a fan of Elvis Pressley, NASCAR racing, going to car shows with his wife Cindy, cars in general and attending his grandsons Little League games.

On most days, you could find him at Valley Dairy.

He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. Solinski was a very loving and kind husband, father, grandfather, son and brother who was always thinking of others before himself.

He is survived by his father, Alfred L. Solinski, Sr., of Indiana; his wife of almost 40 years, Cindy Treese Solinski, of Indiana; two daughters: Julie L. King and husband Bill, of Charlotte, NC; Tara N. Dolan and husband Dave, of Indiana; a sister, Loree Hawkins and fiancé James Hewitt, of Indiana; five grandchildren: Taylor, Logan and Preston King; Michael and Alexis Dolan and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Robinson-Lytle, Inc., where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Richard Motzing officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
