Alice M. Harris, 93, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Born April 10, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Alice Houghtaling.
She married Greenlee W. Harris in 1981.
Alice was a homemaker and served as a candy stripper during WWII. She enjoyed crocheting. Alice attended First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Sherry (Kenneth) Leap of Penfield, fifteen grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was the last member of her immediate family.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, David W. Harris, and a daughter, Lyn Dia.
All services are private and will be held at the convenience of Alice’s family.
Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk, VA.
