Dan proudly served his country with the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict and earned the Purple Heart medal.
He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #983 in Brookville.
He was laid to rest at Vandervort Cemetery, in Summerville, where a small service and military honors were rendered by the Brookville Area Honor Guard.
