Americorps Spotlight: Alicia Stohl, DuBois Area Middle District

Alicia Stohl_JeffersonDUBOIS, Pa. – Alicia Stohl is serving AmeriCorps at DuBois Area Middle District.

The following article is an interview with Alicia:

My name is Alicia Stohl, and I am serving in the DuBois Area School District.

I chose to serve as an AmeriCorps member because I have been a volunteer all of my life. When I moved to DuBois, I wasn’t quite sure where to turn to continue volunteering for my community until the opportunity to join AmeriCorps came about.

Now, I love helping my students achieve all of their goals they have set in place for themselves. I have learned so much during my time serving here at the Dubois Area Middle School.

My future goal of becoming an Early Intervention Specialist has been greatly impacted by this experience. I have learned how much school means to students and how important it is for them to have a teacher that they can count on and trust.

I am excited to see where my adventure with Keystone SMILES is going to take me.
