The best thing about AmeriCorps is being able to serve kids and provide them with help on things they are struggling with. When they do finally “get it” their reactions and expressions are priceless. I absolutely love those “aha” moments!
I am your older-than-average AmeriCorps member. I taught in private schools for several years and decided to go back to the public school arena.
AmeriCorps is a great way to get back into the system. AmeriCorps helps you get the training you may be lacking and the experience you need to begin, or in my case, restart your career in the public school system.
