Ann Fairman

Ann Fairman, 87, Punxsutawney, died Thursday, April 23, 2015.

She was born November 13, 1927, in Star Junction, Fayette County, a daughter of the late Caroline (Duda) and Stanley Wall.

On April 17, 1949, she married Roy R. Fairman, who preceded her in death on December 30, 1993.

She was an associate member of the First Baptist Church of Punxsutawney.

Ann was a graduate of Marion High School.

She enjoyed her family, friends, golfing, being outside, gardening, bridge club, cooking and baking, crafts, and bowling.

Ann was the last remaining member of her immediate family.

Surviving relatives include three children, Beverly A. Fairman of Punxsutawney, Ronald L. Fairman and wife Tina of Punxsutawney, and Sandra R. Fairman of Miami, FL; a daughter-in-law Joyce R. Fairman; six grandchildren, Derek R. Fairman and wife Lindsay of State College, Dr. Lisa Fairman Pfingstler and husband Jude of DuBois, Michelle Covert and husband Keith of Punxsutawney, Leslie Fairman of Punxsutawney, Brittney Fairman of Washington D.C., and Noah Fairman of Punxsutawney; six great grandchildren, Vivian Covert, Tyler, Avery, and Emma Pfingstler, and Reed and Zach Fairman.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son Alan Fairman; two brothers, Mitchell and Joseph Wall; two sisters, Stella Billack and Della Yashko; and a grandson David Fairman.

Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, April 26, 2015, and from 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, April 27, 2015, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, April 27, 2015 at the funeral home with Reverend John Kline officiating.

Interment will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alan R. Fairman Cancer Fund, American Heart Association, or the Alzheimer’s Association.
