Ann Uberti

Ann Uberti, age 98, of DuBois Nursing Home and formerly of Force, PA, passed away, December 24, 2021.

A daughter of the late Charles and Anne (Sloan) Mowrey, she was born on April 1, 1923 in Soldier, PA.

In 1940 she married Angelo “Geege” Uberti, who predeceased her in 1995.

Ann had lived in the same house in Force all her life until going into the nursing home in 2012.

She loved tending to her flower beds in the spring and sitting on her porch in summer.

But, most of all, she enjoyed visits with family.

She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Ann is survived by: a son, Donald (Diana) Uberti of Penfield; a daughter-in-law, Linda Uberti of Penfield; a son-in-law, Rico Franzoni of Weedville; two brothers, Jim (Dee) Mowrey of New York and Tom Mowrey of Reynoldsville; two brothers-in-law, Joe (Carolyn) Uberti and Eugene Heser; six grandchildren, Rhonda (Rick) Glass of Force, Renee (George) Bogle of St. Marys, Michelle (Jim) Loss of Philadelphia, Donald (Tracy) Uberti of Pittsburgh, Dan Rucinski of Penfield, and Debbie Kirk of DuBois; ten great-grandchildren, Robbie and Rachel Glass, Jordan and Justin Riccadonna, Katie Rucinski, Samantha Bennett, Abigail and Christian Kirk, and Marco and Giana Loss; three great-great-grandchildren, Aria and Josie Riccadonna, and Alayah Bennett; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and her husband, Ann was preceded in death by: two children, Yvonne “Sis” Franzoni and Ronald “Pete” Uberti; a great-granddaughter, Deanna Uberti; siblings, Lavina, George, Aldine, Charles, Martina, Gertrude, Phyliss, Robert, Phillip, William, Harry and Bertha.

Keeping with Ann’s wishes, there will be no visitation and no services.

The family suggests memorials to the DuBois Nursing Home or a favorite Charity.

The Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home of Penfield has been entrusted with final arrangements (www.nedzafamilyfuneralhomes.com).
