Anna Gomola, 90, formerly of Punxsutawney, died Saturday February 25, 2017, in Grove City, PA.
She was born March 19, 1926, in Rossiter, a daughter of the late Anna (Oship) and Paul Roman.
On September 20, 1947, she married William S. Gomola, who preceded her in death August 3, 2012.
She worked at Sportswear as a seamstress, Punxsutawney School District in the High School Cafeteria, and most importantly, a homemaker and mother.
Anna was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church of Punxsutawney.
Surviving relatives include a son, Daniel Gomola and wife Elena of Butler; one granddaughter Ashlee Himes; and two great grandchildren, Alexis and Gavin.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter Deborah Fetterman.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney. A Panachida will be held at 2:00 p.m. during visitation.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at Saints Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church of Punxsutawney with Father William Lascelles officiating.
Interment will be in Holy Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Sykesville.
Memorial contributions may be made, in memory of Mrs. Gomola, to the donors’ choice.
