Anna Jane “Jane” Kennedy

1467511_profile_picAnna Jane “Jane” Kennedy, 91, Indiana, died Saturday, November 29, 2014, at St. Andrews Village in Indiana.

She was born December 2, 1922, in Oliveburg, a daughter of the late Clifford and Florence (Reitz) Wachob.

On November 24, 1946, she married Samuel A. Kennedy, who preceded her in death on September 6, 1986.

She was a homemaker and worked for the Quaker Market in Punxsutawney for five years.

She was a member of the Marchand United Methodist Church and also attended the Trinity United Methodist Church in Indiana, PA;

She was a member of the United Methodist Women and enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending time with her family.

Surviving relatives include a daughter Sandra Hicks and husband Roger of Indiana, and a son Edward A. Kennedy and wife Patricia of Indiana; a sister Frances Darlene Fusco of Punxsutawney; three grandchildren, Ranee Hicks, Colleen Kennedy-Karpat and husband Yigit, and Stuart Kennedy and wife Julia; two great grandchildren, Shaun A. Hicks and Lara Kennedy Karpat; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Frankin and Allen Wachob.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at the funeral home, with Pastor Greg Golden officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in memory of Mrs. Kennedy, may be made to the Marchand United Methodist Church, 16084 Route 119 North, Marchand, PA 15758-5084.

Interment will be in Marchand Cemetery.
