Anna Marie Gomola, 58, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Friday, Jan. 1, 2016, at St. Andrew’s Village in Indiana.
She was born April 21, 1957, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Charles and Ellen (McMinn) Vibbard.
On June 16, 1984, she married William August Gomola. He survives and resides in Punxsutawney.
Anna’s true enjoyment in life was her husband and children. She didn’t miss a school activity, playing a game, watching a movie, attending a concert, meeting various singers or teaching her children to cook while she cooked.
Her hobbies included gardening, bird watching, telling jokes and making others laugh. She really liked to spend time with family and friends. She always put others before herself, and she loved to help anyone in need.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Angela Marie Gomola of Los Angeles, California, William August Gomola of Punxsutawney and April Dawn Gomola of Punxsutawney; a sister, Sara Groves and husband Heston of Mount Lookout, West Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation.
Arrangements are under the direction of Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
