Antoinette Kathryn Irick, 67, passed away on November 21, 2015, in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
She was born in 1948 in Punxsutawney, PA, the daughter of Louis and Jennie Genary (née Terrana), who both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Tom Doyle. She is survived by one daughter, April Irick, of Virginia Beach, VA.
A graduate of Punxsutawney Area Senior High School in 1966, Antoinette went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Antoinette, who was also known as Toni, retired as a school teacher from the Punxsutawney Area School District. While she taught at a variety of schools and in several different elementary school grades, a majority of her career was spent teaching second grade at Mapleview and Mary A. Wilson Elementary Schools. She was also a former member of the Punxsutawney Library Board and of the Youth Commission.
