Antoinette (Toni) Kelso

Member_138572Antoinette (Toni) Kelso, 59, of Brookville, passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at her home.

She was born in St. Marys, PA on February 2, 1955, a daughter of the late James and Grace (Haberberger) Gleixner.

On November 8, 1975, she married her soul mate Al Kelso. He survives.

She spent her 38 year career at Clarion University of Pennsylvania as an administrative assistant. She worked in the area of Advising Services. Prior to Advising Services, Toni worked in the College of Arts & Sciences, the College of Business Administration, and the Administrative Science Division of Business Administration (during the Clarion State College era). The students were like a second family to her, and she would do anything to help anyone.

She loved her family more than anything. She greatly enjoyed weekend shopping trips with her daughter, Melissa. She loved watching game shows and Hallmark movies, especially at Christmas time. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she was an avid collector of Clothique, Jim Shore, and Possible Dreams Santas.

She loved girls’ nights out with her closest friends. She had a twinkle in her eyes that could make anyone smile. She always had a compliment and kind word for everyone.

In addition to her husband, Toni is survived by her best friend and daughter, Melissa Kelso, a son, Corey Kelso, a grandson Airen Kelso, a sister, Judy (Larry) Gromley, a niece, Sierra (David) Barber, and a great niece, Maicy Barber, all of Brookville.

Friends will be received on Monday, September 22, 2014 from 5-9pm at Brenda D. Shumaker Funeral Home, Brookville, PA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 10am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, celebrated by Father William Laska.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Toni’s name to Oncology Hematology Associates of DuBois, PA.
