The Association of Pennsylvania State College and University Faculties’ new four-year coaches’ deal runs through June 30, 2019.

“It’s been a long, and at times, difficult process, but I’m very pleased with the deal we have reached,” APSCUF Coach Executive Leader John Gump said. “It provides reasonable salary increases for our members while keeping the costs of our healthcare plan affordable. Now, we can get back to doing what we love — coaching our teams and working with our student-athletes.

“I join my fellow coaches in appreciation for the hard work of our team and for the time they put into this process. I am also grateful to the State System for recognizing the important contributions our coaches make on our campuses.”

APSCUF will release details about the tentative agreement in a future statement.

The coaches’ previous contract expired June 30, 2015, and negotiations have been ongoing since late 2014.

APSCUF represents about 5,500 faculty and coaches at the State System universities: Bloomsburg, California, Cheyney, Clarion, East Stroudsburg, Edinboro, Indiana, Kutztown, Lock Haven, Mansfield, Millersville, Shippensburg, Slippery Rock, and West Chester Universities of Pennsylvania.
