Arlene M. McGuire, 80 of Punxsutawney, passed away Friday, October 30, 2015 at Jefferson Manor.
Mrs. McGuire was born December 2, 1934 in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Walter and Nora (Furman) Smith.
April 4, 1964, Arlene married her loving husband Patrick McGuire of Punxsutawney. He survives. She was a member of the Frist Church of God.
Arlene was an excellent baker and was known for her delicious pies.
In addition to her husband Patrick, she is survived by two daughters; Diane McGuire of Punxsutawney, Bridget Rice and husband Samuel of Bellefonte, her grandchildren; Annelise and Wyldon Rice of Bellefonte and one brother; Paul Smith and wife Carol of Macedonia, Il. She is preceded in death by two brothers; Roy and Donald smith and two sisters; Phrona Foulks and Donna Belle Newcome. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Sunday, November 1, at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am November 2, at the funeral home with Pastor Greg Smith officiating.
Interment is private for family.
