Jefferson County Historical Society to Host Artifact Identification Program

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — The Jefferson County Historical Society is hosting a program on arrowhead and artifact identification Friday, January 20.

The program will help people find the age of arrowheads and help determine what type of unusual rocks they own.

Historical Society members and the general public are invited to bring their collection of prehistoric Native American artifacts or regional geological specimens for discussion, or to have them evaluated at the upcoming monthly meeting of the North Fork Chapter 29 of the Society for Pennsylvania Archaeology.

The program begins at 7 p.m. at the Heritage House located at 4 Sylvania Street in Brookville.

It is free and open to the public.
