EARLY HEAD START PARENT EDUCATORS – Clarion and Punxsutawney POSITION OVERVIEW: The Early Head Start Program provides comprehensive services and home visits to pregnant women, infants and toddlers. The Parent Educator delivers home visits that encourage parents to develop and strengthen their skills as primary educator of their child(ren) by providing support and information about child development, educational activities, social services and community resources. They are also responsible for working directly with a caseload of parents in order to implement a structured Family Partnership Agreement process designed to identify family needs and assist in meeting those needs. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Level A -Early Childhood Education Baccalaureate Degree, Baccalaureate Degree in family studies and human development, social work, rehabilitative science, infant and maternal health, or related social services field. Entry level: $15.09/hour Part-time Position: Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week Benefits include: Health Care coverage, Vision, Disability, Retirement, Annual and Sick Leave, Aflac options. ITINERANT TEACHER POSITION OVERVIEW: The Itinerant Teacher will provide additional staff support in selected classrooms as identified by Education Managers. The Itinerant Teacher will assist the Teacher in implementing lesson plans, IEP’s, behavior plans, and PTRYC plans. Assist the classroom staff in providing educational opportunities for children based on the individual curriculum plan. The Itinerant Teacher will be utilized to fill extended leaves of absence of staff when needed. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Level A - Bachelor’s degree and certification in Early Childhood Education, preference given to dual certification in early childhood/special education. This position requires a highly motivated individual that is willing to travel to different classroom locations in the bi-county area. Entry Level: $15.27 per hour Part-time Position: Monday – Friday, 7.5 hours per day Benefits include: Individual Health Care coverage, Vision, Disability, Retirement, Annual and Sick Leave, Aflac options.
