Barbara A. Sherry, 87, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Friday November 12, 2021 at Crystal Waters Personal Care.
She was born September 27, 1934 to Glade and Hazel (Crawford) Tyger in Rochester Mills.
She was a member of Valley Chapel United Methodist Church in Juneau where she was an active member for most of her life.
She was a graduate of Marion Center High School.
Barbara was a current member of FCRV. She enjoyed camping, shopping and spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by a son Douglas E. Sherry and wife Kathy, Fleetwood, PA; two daughters, Debra A. Burkett, Juneau, Darla J. Steiner and husband Jeff, Sharpsville, PA, six grandchildren,
Jocelyn Sutter and husband JR, Amanda Sherry, Derek Burkett and wife Melissa, Steven Sherry,
Keelie Steiner, Macie Steiner, four great grandchildren, Keaton Sutter, Payton Sutter, Riley Burkett, Piper Burkett and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James L. Sherry, and a brother Harold Tyger.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 3-7 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home Inc., 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA. A funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Thursday with Rev. Janet Chipless officiating.
Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Rochester Mills.
