Barbara (Crawford) Keough

Barbara (Crawford) Keough, 83, of Brookville, PA, passed away during the early morning hours of December 22, 2021, while a resident of Brookside Senior Living in Brookville.

She was born on August 26, 1938, to the late W. Dean and Irene (Clark) Crawford in Brookville.

Barbara graduated from Brookville High School and earned a Bachelor of Education at Clarion University.

Her family will always be proud of the hard work she put into earning her degree while her family grew.

Barbara married Charles Keough Jr. on June 4, 1956, in Brookville; Charles preceded her in passing on April 1, 2012.

She worked as an assistant for Dr. William J. Weaver’s dental practice until her retirement.

She was a member of the Brookville First United Methodist Church as well as a volunteer at the Brookville Food Pantry.

Barbara is survived by three children; Kathy (Rodney) Burns; David (Elizabeth) Keough; Chris (Nancy) Keough; three siblings; William “Bill” (Cynthia) Crawford; Jane (Greg) Sutfin; Mary (Gary) Merenda; nine grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Barbara was preceded in passing by one son; Michael Keough.

The family would like to thank the staff at Brookside Senior Living for the excellent care they provided for Barbara during her short stay.

A public Memorial Service for Barbara will be announced at a later date.

Services have been entrusted to the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Rebecca M. Arthurs Memorial Library, 223 Valley St., Brookville, PA 15825, or to the Brookville Food Pantry, PO Box 62, Brookville, PA 15825.
