Barry A. McKinney

McKinney BarryBarry A. McKinney, 52, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2015 after a short battle with cancer.

He was born in Brookville on January 4, 1963 to Twila and James McKinney, grew up in Knox, and later moved to Punxsutawney at age 14.

In his free time he enjoyed returning to Punxsutawney to visit the Brooks family farm where he spent time at “his rock” deer hunting.

He worked as a “master driller” at Stoneco Inc. quarry for 16 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Pia Pier (Lawrence); son, Chad (Rachel) and a grandchild on the way; daughter, Adrian; siblings Sara Master, Rick (Von) Shook, Pam (John) Vickers, Jan (Denny) Archer, Kevin McKinney, and Judy (Dave) Henry; and many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Twila (Doutt) and James McKinney, and beloved dog, Sparky.

Funeral services will be held at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee on October 9 at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Maumee.
