DUBOIS, Pa. (D9Sports) – Exploding for 14 hits, DuBois Central Catholic rolled to a 10-0, five-inning win over visiting Elk County Catholic.

Justin Miknis led the way going 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, two runs scored and two RBIs.
Peter Downer added a pair of doubles for the Cardinals while going 2-for-2 with a run scored and two RBIs.
Also for DCC, Brandon Walker was 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored, Noah Bloom was 1-for-3 with two RBIs and Tyler McIntosh was 3-for-3 with three runs scored.
Alec Wehler, Alex Fedus and Ryan Fritz each had a single for ECC.
Cole Sansom got the win going four innings allowing three hits and a walk while striking out four. Domenic Toretti finished up going a scoreless inning.
Will Uberti took the loss pitching three innings allowing seven runs, all earned, on 10 hits and a hit batter while striking out one. Wehler pitched 1 ⅓ innings giving up three runs, two earned, on four hits, a walk and a hit batter while striking out one.
PUNXSUTAWNEY 13, DUBOIS 12
PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. – Graham Lott scored on an error on a ball hit by Andrew Britton in the bottom of the seventh inning capping an eight-run rally for Punxsutawney, which walked off a stunned DuBois, 13-12.
The Chucks trailed 12-5 going to the seventh but used a double, two singles, four walks, a hit batter and three DuBois errors in the seventh to pull out the victory.
Britton’s base hit to third had tied the game before the error allowed the Chucks to win the contest.
Alec Greenblatt was 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored for Punxsutawney while Britton was 1-for-4 with a walk, a run scored and two RBIs. Dakota Long (1-for-3, 1 run scored) and Sheldon Young (1-for-3, a walk, a run scored) also each drive in two runs with Daren Byers (1-for-4 with a walk) and Lott (two walks) each scoring twice.
Dylan McCluskey had a double while going 2-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBIs to lead DuBois.
Garrett Starr was also 3-for-4 with a pair of runs scored for the Beavers with Eric Schneider going 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBIs and Chandler Ho and Dayne Bauman each scoring twice.
Dylan Ishman, the fourth pitcher used by Punxsutawney, got the win. He pitched two scoreless innings not allowing a hit and a walking one.
Starr took the loss in relief. He pitched 4 ⅔ innings giving up eight runs, three earned, on five hits, four walks and a hit batter while striking out two.
BROCKWAY 10, YOUNGSVILLE 2
BROCKWAY, Pa. – Santino Inzana, Matthew Clark and Garrett McClintick each had two hits and two RBIs to help Brockway defeat visiting Youngsville, 10-2.
Also for the Rovers, Tyler Serafini was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored, Bryce Grecco was 2-for-3 with a run scored, Matthew Holt had a single, a run scored and an RBI and Hunter Allenbaugh added an RBI and a run scored.
Dominic Walton (1-for-3) and Ethan Morningstar (1-for-2) each scored runs to pace Youngsville.
Inzana earned the win for Brockway striking out six while giving up two runs on four hits.
Alex Kemery had three strikeouts and took the loss for Youngsville.
BROOKVILLE, BRADFORD SPLIT DOUBLEHEADER
BRADFORD, Pa. – Brookville and Bradford split a doubleheader with Bradford taking Game One, 5-3, and Brookville winning the nightcap, 11-3.
In the opener, Bradford, the visiting team for the game, erased a 3-1 deficit going to the seventh by scoring four times in the top of the seventh.
After a wild pitch tied the game at three, Peyton Manion reached on an error that scored the go-ahead run, and a balk pushed across a fifth run.
Tyler Gigliotti then retired Brookville in order to secure the win.
Gigliotti was the winning pitcher going seven innings allowing three runs, two earned, on four hits and four walks. He didn’t strike out a batter.
Michael Gow was 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Owls, while Patrick Caskey went 1-for-3 with a double and two runs scored. Calen Nuzzo also doubled and scored.
Brady Caylor was 2-for-3 for Brookville with Seth Dunkle going 1-for-2 with two walks and two runs scored.
Chase Palmer took the loss going 6 ⅔ innings allowing five runs, one earned, on five hits and three walks while striking out six.
In the second game, Brookville’s bats came alive to the tune of five extra-base hits and 11 hits in all in the 11-3 victory.
Caylor and Trenton Gilhousen led the offense with Caylor going 3-for-4 with a double, a run scored and two RBIs and Gilhousen going 3-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored and two RBIs.
Jace Miner was also 2-for-4 with a triple, a double, two runs scored and two RBIs, Aaron Park was 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI, Hunter Roney was 1-for-4 with a double, a run scored and an RBI and Hunter Geer walked twice and scored twice.
Nuzzo was 2-for-4 with an RBI for Bradford with Noah Meyer going 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
Park got the win tossing five innings allowing two runs, both earned, on three hits, a hit batter and three walks while striking out five. Seth Dunkle went a scoreless inning of relief striking out one before Tanner LaBenne gave up an unearned run on two hits and a walk while striking out one in an inning of work.
Manion took the loss allowing seven runs, four earned, on eight hits and two walks while striking out one in five innings on the mound.
A-C VALLEY 6, CLARION-LIMESTONE 3
EMLENTON, Pa. – Brandon Link drove in a pair of runs to help A-C Valley upset KSAC champion Clarion-Limestone, 6-3.
The Falcons did what few teams have been able to accomplish this season, get to Lions sophomore Hayden Callen.
Callen, who hadn’t given up an earned run since April 24 covering a span of 19 innings and who had only given up two over his last three appearances, was charged with four runs, all earned, on five hits and two walks while striking out four in three innings of work. His no earned runs allowed streak ended at 19 ⅔ innings when A-C Valley strung together three straight singles with two outs in the first to take an early 2-0 lead.
Callen gave up four earned runs on five hits and two walks while striking out four.
Sam Anderson, who had one of those singles, finished the day 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI. Levi Orton also scored twice and drove in a run for the Falcons.
Meanwhile, three A-C Valley pitchers kept C-L at bay.
Luke Whitcomb started and pitched a scoreless inning plus despite walking three. He did strike out a batter. Broc Weigle got the win going 4 ⅓ innings of one-hit ball. He walked four and struck out seven. Riley Bauer then went 1 ⅔ innings giving up three runs on two hits and four walks.
Bryson Huwar was 1-for-2 with a double, two walks and an RBI for C-L. Ben Smith also had an RBI for the Lions.
JOHNSONBURG 8, CURWENSVILLE 0
CURWENSVILLE, Pa. – Daunte Allegretto threw a complete-game, one-hit shutout to help Johnsonburg to an 8-0 victory on the road at Curwensville.
Allegretto struck out 10 batters.
Offensively for the Rams, Austin Green went 3-for-4 with a run scored while Ethan Wells went 2-for-3 with a pair of runs scored and two RBIs. Garrett Gregori and Zack Zameroski each added doubles and Matt Dush went 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
Ralph Evans had the lone hit for the Tide.
Avert Francisco had seven strikeouts in the loss for Curwensville.
