Be Afraid Wins Best Horror Movie

Be Afraid-2017 NYC Winter Film AwardNEW YORK, NY (EYT) – ‘Be Afraid’ – a movie filmed in Clarion County in 2013 – was selected as the “Best Horror Feature Film” at the NYC Winter Film Awards in March.

The film premiere was March 2 at Cinema Village Theater New York.

The supernatural thriller, directed by Drew Gabreski, stars Brian Krause, Jaimi Paige and Louis Herthum.

It is scheduled to release in May 2017.

Movie crews were spotted at several locations in Clarion County in late 2013 as they shot footage for the feature length film Be Afraid, (previously titled Within the Dark), a psychological thriller about a doctor who moves to the Clarion area and starts seeing supernatural things.

Gabreski announced in August 2015 that filming was complete.
