Benjamin Joseph Ananea

Benjamin Joseph Ananea, 68, of Punxsutawney, PA, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021, while a resident at Penn Highlands Jefferson Manor in Brookville.

Ben was born on December 10, 1953, to the late Benjamin and Marie (Mihalich) Ananea in Cleveland, OH.

Ben graduated from Bedford High School with the Class of 1972 in Bedford, OH.

Ben served in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged after two years of service. He received the National Defense Service Medal and the Meritorious Unit Commendation.

Ben was self-employed in the carpentry trade business. He loved to build things and help other people.

Ben was a simple man a who loved to hunt, fish, and spend time outdoors.

Ben is survived by brother; Mike Ananea; five grandchildren; Paige Goines, Alexis Goines, Quentin Goines, Myah Goines, Ashton Goines, and Jaden Goines; and four great-grandchildren; Amar’e Floyd, Isaiah Williams, Kingston Williams, and Megan Williams.

In addition to his parents, Ben in preceded in death by daughter; Megan Goines Holiday; and two brothers; Nicholas Ananea and Daniel Ananea.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825.

Final interment will take place at the Calvary Cemetery, Punxsutawney, Jefferson Co., PA.
