Bernice L. (Kramer) Nicholson

56bd222316546Bernice L. (Kramer) Nicholson, 79 of Punxsutawney passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016 after a short illness at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Bernice was born July 22, 1936 in Calvin, W.VA, a daughter of the late Dix and Dale (Chapman) Groves.

She married her late husband Grover Kramer on June 22, 1958. He preceded her in death on March 19, 1994. They were married 36 years. On July 24, 1999 she married Harry V. Nicholson who also preceded her in death on December 6, 2012. They were married 13 years.

She was a member of the First Church of God in Punxsutawney and also a member of the Red Hat Society.

Bernice adored her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved fishing, vacations to Treasure Lake, Cooking, Bingo and shopping trips with her girls. She also loved living at Graystone Apartments.

She is survived by her son; Doug Kramer and friend Sherry Malovich of Rossiter, Daughters; Debbie Nicholson and husband Gary, Pam Bantly and husband Dave, Patty Wasicki and husband Greg “Pete” all of Punxsutawney and step-daughter; Greta Helsel and husband Brian of Indiana. Eight beloved grandchildren; Jessica Fairbanks, Jodi Orf and husband Ken, Charlie and Chad Rumgay, Brittany Kramer and Fiance’ Brett Piper, Marisa and Daniel Kramer and Ian Helsel. Four Beloved great-grandchildren; Alyssa Fairbanks, Madison, Gage and Bently Orf. Two sisters; Icie Jones of Marietta, OH., Rosie Eng of Jupiter, FL. and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her late husbands; Grover and Harry, she is preceded in death by a brother; Ralph Groves and son-in-law; Bob Rumgay.

All arrangements are private for family.
