Betty J. Allen, 80, DuBois, passed away Friday, August 25, 2017, at Penn Highlands DuBois.
Born July 12, 1937, she was the daughter of the late John and Ruth (Ferguson) Sellers.
On August 30, 1957, she married John A. Allen Jr. in Winchester, VA. He preceded her in death on May 10, 2015.
Betty graduated from the DuBois Area High School. She later retired as a line worker from Equimeter. Betty enjoyed bowling, completing puzzle books, playing on the computer, and spending time with her family.
Betty is survived by three sons, John (Kathy) Allen, DuBois, Dave Allen, DuBois, and Steve (Chrissy) Allen, Brockway; ten grandchildren, Jim Harmon, Lori Ward, Tina White, David, Joshua, Jeremy, and Alexis Allen, Jessica and Michael Wilmoth, and Sean Lechiara; nine great-grandchildren, Ragen, Mackenzie, Collin, Hunter, Dominique, Zain, Rosalie, Travis, and Taylor; a brother, Jack Sellers, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Harmon, a son, Thomas Scott Allen, and a niece, Debbie Horn.
Friends and family will be received Wednesday, August 30th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Thursday, August 31st from 9-11 a.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel, Inc.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 31st at 11 a.m. at the funeral chapel with Rev. Kenneth Sherwood officiating.
Interment will be in Morningside Cemetery.
