Betty Mae Hinderliter

Betty Mae Hinderliter, 82, of the Valier area, passed away early morning on Easter Sunday, which was her favorite time of the year, April 16, 2017, at Jefferson Manor in Brookville.

She was born on March 22, 1935 in Sprankle Mills, a daughter of the late Irvin Charles and Dorothy Olive (Nulph) Hinderliter.

Ms. Hinderliter never married and made her home with her parents and sister Ruby.

Betty was a very special person in her family, she had a big heart and lovingly cared for her mother, and she also cherished babysitting her nieces and nephews over the years, and she tenderly cared for the rabbits and cats of the family home.

For enjoyment, she liked to watch old television shows like “Bonanza” and “The Rifleman”.

Survived by three sisters, Elsie Rendt, Ginger Dove and Ruby Hinderliter, all of Punxsutawney; three brothers, Charles Hinderliter of Brookville, Harry Hinderliter and wife Betty of Butler, and Terry Hinderliter and wife Cindy of Valier; numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation.
