DUBOIS, Pa. (http://www.d9sports.com– Ciara Strickland scored 11 of her 16 points in the fourth quarter to help Curwensville rally past Brockway, 44-39, in the District 9 Class AA girls’ basketball quarterfinals at DuBois High School.
The third-seeded Lady Tide (17-6) trailed 29-27 heading to the fourth quarter and 35-31 with around four minutes to play before ending the game on a 13-4 run.
Brockway (12-10), the sixth seed, wasn’t without its chances late.
Trailing by two, 41-39, the Rovers sent Adrianna Terwilliger to the free throw line shooting two with 14.6 seconds left.
