Car Crashes into Porch in Big Run Borough

BIG RUN BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – State Police in Punxsutawney have released details surrounding a one-vehicle crash on November 10 in Big Run Borough, Jefferson County.

Police say the accident happened around 11:50 a.m. when 69-year-old Larry E. Ferringer, of Dayton, failed to negotiate to negotiate a left-hand curve on East Main Street, just west of Railroad Street.

Ferringer’s vehicle exited the eastern shoulder and struck the front porch of a residence before crossing over both lanes of travel and coming to a final rest in a private residence’s yard.

Ferringer was transported by Punxsutawney Ambulance to Punxsutawney Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.

He was cited with a lane violation.

Big Run Fire Department assisted at the scene.
