Blaine Crooks

Blaine Crooks, 85, Indiana, passed away Friday, March 18, 2016 while at the Crystal Waters Personal Care Home.

The son of Joseph and Laura (Ennis) Crooks, he was born June 6, 1930 in Sykesville, PA.

Mr. Crooks was a graduate of Penn State University and attended Harvard University where he obtained his Master’s Degree in mathematics.
He was a member of the Indiana Lions Club where he served as a District Governor and State Council Chairman. Blaine was also a long time member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. .
Surviving are his children, Bonnie L. (Raymond) Zich, Champaign, IL, Becky J. (Michael) Kerna, Elko, NV, and Bradley S. Crooks, Latrobe; grandchildren, Isaac Zich, Bethany Zich, and Matthew (Susan) Zich, Ashley Kerna, Lauren, Ryan, and Tyler Crooks; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Blaine in death were his parents and siblings; wife, Betty (Carlson) Crooks; a son, Robert.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 4 to 8 pm at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home, Indiana. Additional viewing will be held on Monday morning in the Trinity United Methodist, Indiana from 10 to 11a.m. Funeral service will immediately follow at 11a.m. with Pastor Kathy Mihoerck, officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or New Horizons Foundation.
