Body of Missing Duquesne University Found

d5c6d8b4d2064b3097b0e09f26a0d371PITTSBURGH, Pa. (EYT) — The body of a missing Duquesne University graduate student has been found.

According to a published article on pittsburgh.cbslocal.com, Robinson Township Police recovered the body of 23-year-old Dakota James in the Ohio River near Neville Island Monday morning.

A woman walking her dog in the area saw the body. Police and firefighters responded to the scene near Groveton Boat Club.

According to Robinson Township Police, the medical examiner made a positive identification of the body as James.

James was a resident of the North Side. He was last seen in downtown Pittsburgh the night of January 25.

Pittsburgh City Police released video footage of James walking through Katz Plaza in the Cultural District at 11:46 p.m. the night he was last seen. Cadaver dogs were used to search the shoreline on the North Shore, and they picked up a scent near the Roberto Clemente Bridge on the night of January 25.

No other information is available about the cause of death or the case.
