Bomb Squad Called After Suspicious Package Found on Penn State Campus

11229980_10156245949810268_5362321083788509400_oUNIVERSITY PARK, Pa – Penn State University Police and Public Safety have issued an all-clear after determining that a suspicious package found earlier Dec. 1 was not a threat.

At 2:30 p.m., University Police received a report of a suspicious package found by a grounds crew working in the area of the MorningStar Home, located south of Medlar Field at Lubrano Park along Porter Road on the University Park campus.

Bomb technicians from Penn State and the Pennsylvania State Police determined that the package was empty. Police say there was never any danger and the area has been reopened. Police are continuing their investigation.
