Bonnie B Smith089Bonnie B. Smith, 84 of Summerville, PA, died Sunday July 27, 2014 at the McKinley Health Center in Brookville.

Born July 23, 1930 in Rossiter, PA, she was the daughter of the late Wilber and Pauline Hamler.

Bonnie attended elementary school at the Lucas School in Baxter, and Brookville High School.

On July 14, 1947 she was married to James L. Smith.

She worked at Sylvania and later for the family business, “Smith Game Calls”.

Bonnie was a member of the Church of Christ in Summerville, PA. She belonged to the Roseville Grange.

She enjoyed singing, and sang with her band, “Bonnie and the Country Sounds”.

Along with her husband, Bonnie is survived by two sons, Jerry (Wanda) Smith, Randon (Rose) Smith; a daughter, Theresa (Randy) Wolfgong; four sisters, Alma Neel, Jean Kibler, Doris Smith, Phyllis Ankeny; three grandchildren, Jamie Smith, Shawna Gould, Codi Myers; three great grandchildren, Zach, Jenna and Ian.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a brother, William Hamler.

Her family will receive friends on Tuesday July 29, 2014 from 6 – 8 pm at the Furlong Funeral Home, Gregory K. Furlong FD, corner of Broad St. and First Ave., Summerville.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 30, 2014 at 11 am, at the Summerville Church of Christ, with John Otis, Larry Krouse and Randy Matheny officiating.

Interment will be in the Vandrvort Cemetery, Clover Twp., Jefferson County, PA.

Memorial donations may be made to the Church of Christ in Summerville.
