Bonnie Kae Peters, 60, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
She was born in Punxsutawney on June 9, 1960, a daughter of Bernadine Emert Bennett and the late Richard Eugene Bennett.
Bonnie was a 1978 Graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School. Following graduation, she completed a Bachelor’s Degree from Penn State and went on to pursue a Master’s Degree.
When her son was young, she enjoyed volunteering with the 4-H program and raising bunnies for show. She also enjoyed making crafts and crocheting.
Bonnie has lovingly cared for her mother at home for many years, which enabled her mother to stay at home.
She is survived by one son, Brogan Peters of Clearfield; two grandchildren; her mother, Bernadine Bennett; one brother, Richard Bennett and wife Lynn Kellar of Dublin, Ohio; one sister, Dee Raffensberger and husband John of Brooksville, Florida.
There will be no visitation, and a memorial service will be planned at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
