Bonnie Lou (Williams) Engle

Bonnie EngleBonnie left this world to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January, 28, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.

Bonnie was born on September, 29, 1937 to Reese and Luella (Beck) Williams, they precede her in death.

She was a 1955 graduate of Reynoldsville HS, then a 1956 graduate of Dubois Business College with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration.

On September 18, 1956, Bonnie married her high school sweetheart, Kay Engle, he precedes her in death.

Bonnie was a business woman and operated the K. E. Engle Insurance Agency for many years after her husband’s death, before retiring to care for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bonnie was always in Scouting, a leader in both Girls Scouts and Cub Scouts, a Cub Scout committee member and treasurer for many years.

She was a Past Matron of Eastern Star and an avid quilter. She quilted for both the Church, as a mission and for herself. There are many people who have the pleasure of having quilts that she worked on.

Bonnie was very active in the church and will be remembered by her church family for the countless hours she spent in the church kitchen. How she loved to cook! When she could no long stand, Bonnie continued her service by making calls and organizing for TLC.

She will be remembered most by her family for the time and devotion that she gave to her grand and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons; Mark Engle, wife Sue and Dan Engle, wife Nance and two daughters; Kathy Knepp, husband Eric and Karen Ashmore, husband Adrian. She is also survived by her sister-in- law Patty Gearheart, along with 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be at the First United Methodist Church of Reynoldsville, 504 Jackson St., on Tuesday, January, 31 from 1-4 and from 6-9.

The funeral service will be also be held at church at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, luncheon to follow. Pastor Tom Carr will preside over the services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the following: The First United Methodist Church of Reynoldsville, Brenna McMillen’s Guatemalan Mission – Cosechando Felicidad (via FUMC Reynoldsville) or Cub Scout Pack 72 of Reynoldsville (via FUMC Reynoldsville).

Bonnie was passionate about all three of these, as they held a special place in her heart.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Bernard P. Snyder funeral home, Inc, Reynoldsville, PA.
