UPDATE: I-80 Reopens Following Crash in Clarion County

CLARION TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Interstate 80 has reopened afer a traffic accident shut down a portion of it in Clarion Township, Clarion County, on Thursday afternoon.

Clarion-based State Police reported the accident occurred around 2:10 p.m. near mile marker 65 eastbound.

Sources say the accident involved multiple tractor trailers.

Specific details on the crash have not been released.

The roadway was closed between mile marker 53 and mile marker 70.

Traffic was diverted off Interstate 80 toward U.S. Route 322.

Backups were reported on several area roadways including U.S. Route 322, State Route 208, and State Route 338.

Clarion Volunteer Fire Company and Clarion Hospital Ambulance responded to the scene.
