Brookville Man and Woman Jailed on $100k Bond Following Meth Bust

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Two people are facing numerous charges following a meth bust in Brookville earlier today.

On April 1, Jefferson County Drug Task Force and Pennsylvania State Police Troop C (Punxsutawney) Vice Unit began an investigation into suspected manufacturing and distribution of methamphetamine at 124 Crestwood Circle in Brookville.

Today, the Pennsylvania State Police SERT team executed a search warrant at the residence and subsequently took Keith A. McNaughton, 29, of Brookville, and Kari L. Housler, 26, of Brookville, into custody.

According to a release, the Pennsylvania Clandenstine Lab Team conducted a search of the residence and found numerous items typically used to manufacture methamphetamine.

Both McNaughton and Housler were taken to District Judge Bazylak’s office where they were arraigned.

McNaughton faces the following charges:

– Conspiracy – Possession of Red Phosphorus, etc w/ Intent to Manufacture Controlled Substance (Felony) – 2 counts
– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver (Felony)
– Knowingly Possessing Ephedrine (Misdemeanor)
– Int Possession Controlled Substance By Person Not Registered (Misdemeanor)
– Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia (Misdemeanor)

Housler is facing the following charges:

– Conspiracy – Possession of Red Phosphorus, etc w/ Intent to Manufacture Controlled Substance (Felony)
– Possession of Red Phosphorus, etc w/ Intent to Manufacture Controlled Substance (Felony)
– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver (Not disclosed)
– Knowingly Possessing Ephedrine (Misdemeanor)
– Int Possession Controlled Substance By Person Not Registered (Misdemeanor)
– Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia (Not disclosed)

Naughton and Housler were placed in the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $100,000 straight cash bail each.

Both face preliminary hearings on June 10.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
