Authorities ID Body Found in Rimersburg Lake

TOBY TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Authorities have identified the body of a fisherman who went missing on Monday evening.

The missing man has been identified as 22-year-old Aaron Joseph Kriebel, of Parker. According to Clarion County Coroner Terry Shaffer, Kriebel was also known by the name Aaron Joseph Hilliard.

According to Clarion County Office of Emergency Services (OES), Rimersburg Hose Company was dispatched around 6:20 p.m. Monday to assist in the search for a missing 22-year-old male in Toby Township, Clarion County.

Shortly after the call came in, dive teams from Clarion and Butler counties were called to the scene. Track and Trail Rescue Team from Jefferson County was also dispatched.

Sources say the search ended Tuesday morning when divers found the man’s body in a pond near Henry Road and Carwick Road.

He was last seen fishing in the pond, located in a area known as the “cliffs,” on Monday evening.
