Officials say the fire broke out Saturday at 1536 Gaston Road sometime between 6:30 a.m. and 7:59 a.m.
Two garages at the location were discovered fully engulfed in flames upon fire department arrival.
As fire department personnel were combating the fire, a deceased individual was located inside one of the garages.
Authorities say the name of the victim is being withheld pending DNA testing for positive identification.
The Punxsutawney-based State Police Fire Marshall Unit is investigating the cause and origin of the fire.
The investigation is ongoing.
