Mahaffey Woman Accused of Stabbing Man with Steak Knife; Faces Criminal Homicide Charges

BELL TWP., Pa. (EYT) – The Pennsylvania State Police in Punxsutawney are currently conducting a homicide/death investigation that occurred early Sunday morning along Ridge Road, in Bell Township, Clearfield County.

Police say 57-year-old Richard Allen Bennett, of Mahaffey, was discovered deceased outside of the residence located at 10882 Ridge Road, in Bell Township.

Through investigation, it was discovered that the victim (Bennett) and the accused – 31-year-old Kayce Marie Lee, of Mahaffey – were involved in a domestic disturbance that turned physical. During the altercation, Lee allegedly obtained a steak knife and stabbed Bennett in the chest. He was later located deceased a short distance from the residence, according to police.

The incident occurred around 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 4.

The following charges are pending against Lee: Criminal Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, and Harassment.
