PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – Authorities say a Punxsutawney man is facing felony charges following a Thursday evening drug bust.

Police say 35-year-old Jason Roy Sipe was arrested by Punxsutawney Borough Police in conjunction with the Jefferson County Drug Task Force.

Sipe was taken into custody on various drug-related offenses, according to police.

The arrest stems from a three-month long investigation into the alleged delivery of heroin by Sipe in the Borough of Punxsutawney.

Utilizing a confidential informant, members of the Jefferson County Drug Task Force purchased bags of heroin from Sipe on multiple occasions at his residence. The alleged purchases occurred between August 2015 and October 2015.

The following charges were filed against Sipe at District Magistrate Douglas R. Chambers’ office:

  • Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Felony)

  • Criminal Use of a Communication Facility (Felony 3)

Sipe is currently being held in the Jefferson County Jail.
