CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – Clarion-based State Police have a suspect in the bomb threat at Clarion Walmart on Monday night.
According to police, around 8:14 p.m. on Monday, February 4, a caller contacted PSP Clarion and related that a bomb was placed in Walmart located at 63 Perkins Road, in Monroe Township, Clarion County.
Police say the location was cleared, and the origin of the threat was investigated.
Sergeant Scott Bauer, the station commander of the State Police barracks in Clarion, told exploreClarion.com, “No bombs were located. We do have a suspect.”
No arrests have been made as of Tuesday morning, and the suspect’s name has not been released.
The store was cleared during the search, according to Sergeant Bauer.
Walmart’s store manager said that the store reopened around 3:00 a.m.
Eat N’ Park, located adjacent to the store, remained open and provided shelter for Walmart employees during the situation.
“It is business, as usual, today,” said Walmart’s store manager.
